OUR STORY
OF THE VIDEO.
The popular game’s logic moves into a world whose protagonists already know plenty about survival. Giannoula and Efterpi face the challenge with determination, practical minds and disarming confidence.
The comedy comes from two worlds meeting: television spectacle and Cretan life. The grandmas become the story’s heart, with personalities that go beyond the parody itself.
BEHIND
THE CAMERA.
Cretan Survivor accompanied the radio show’s 14th season. The production used recognisable television conventions, transplanted them locally and let its characters overturn them.
BEYOND
THE SCREEN.
Cretan Survivor became one of the Greek internet’s major viral moments. The production records one million views within 15 hours, while its inclusion in YouTube Rewind Greece 2017 confirms that year’s reach. Shares, television features and audience conversations carried the story far beyond the show’s listeners. It decisively expanded the project’s scale and made the grandmas recognisable across Greece.
