Masks, a secret plan and an election that becomes a personal matter. A mother wants her son to become village president and organises her own “perfect adulteration”. Cretan CASA DE PAPEL brings the tension of a cinematic heist to a Cretan courtyard, with the grandmas holding the keys to the operation.

Three Cretan raki distillers take on a mission straight out of a film parody. With makeshift equipment and an action vehicle, RAKIBUSTERS enlist raki as their imaginary superweapon. In summer 2020, the radio show responds to the era’s anxiety with an adventure joining the Cretan still to the Ghostbusters universe.

A village, a night and wedding preparations that take an unexpected turn. The Cretan Thriller borrows Michael Jackson’s dark musical world and brings it to Crete. In this 2021 satirical fiction, residents become zombies and the radio crew stages its own night-time cinematic showdown.

Giannoula and Rodanthi take on trap music, business and Cretan feuds. A little aubergine preserve sparks a business adventure with rhymes and immense confidence. MELITZANA APO ALANA pits the village grandmas against trap aesthetics and lets them define the rules. The story also moved into audience videos, becoming a catchphrase, a song and the inspiration for hundreds of TikTok creations. According to the creators’ October 2026 estimate, its overall journey exceeds 30 million views across official social media and third-party recreations.

The Grandma Movement of the Radical Dolma Coalition. The grandmas gain a political party, a public voice and ambitions too large for their courtyard. In the election summer of 2023, G.K.RI.NT.S takes the satirical crew into politics, amid press conferences, internal disputes and social media communication.

The grandmas have conquered the spotlight. In 2024, the grandpas respond with staka, eggs and Ilias Mamalakis by their side. STAKA ME TA AVGA brings Cretan music, relationships and contemporary pop culture together in a story where the kitchen becomes contested territory and the village café gains cinematic intensity. A special appearance by Ilias Mamalakis connects gastronomy with the most unpredictable Cretan feud.

Kalokairi Sto Noto’s first short film, as its creators describe it, sends the crew far beyond Crete. Two villages, a dolma festival and a plan that defies gravity. Stalitsa competes with Stalida for attention, while four grandmas, a priest and a shepherd with MIT know-how launch a space mission. In 2025, the feud reaches its furthest destination; in 2026, the film wins GOLD at the Indie Awards in Best in Film / Video – Online.

Penelope and Tyler return from America and open a sushi spot in the village. The grandmas see a new rival challenging their own cuisine. Dakos, mizithra cheese and fried potatoes spring into action. RAKOKAZANO brings two culinary worlds into the same square and makes the menu a personal matter.
